Microsoft Closes Nairobi Engineering Hub, Putting Hundreds of Jobs at Risk
Microsoft is shutting its Nairobi African Development Centre, putting hundreds of engineering jobs at risk and raising questions about the durability of pan-African tech hub ambitions. The closure is being read as a cautionary signal for emerging tech hubs across Africa, including Ghana, on the risks of anchor-tenant dependency and talent retention.
