Ghana Auditor-General Deploys AI Audits and Launches Surcharge Tracker

Ghana's Auditor-General has announced the deployment of AI-powered audit tools and unveiled a dedicated surcharge tracker as part of a tougher accountability posture. The move represents a concrete government adoption of data-driven tools, extending earlier calls for the Audit Service to modernise and enforce surcharges to address an estimated GH¢100 billion in public fund losses.
