BoG Sets July 2027 Start for New Credit Risk Management Directive

The Bank of Ghana has confirmed that its Credit Risk Management Directive will take effect for banks and other regulated financial institutions from 1 July 2027. The deadline gives the sector a defined compliance window following the BoG's earlier signalling of the directive in response to rising non-performing loans in the Savings and Loans sector.
